I am in the midst of writing about this, 1.14.2014. It was fascinating and a lot of fun. Definitely worth while, whether you want a Persian for a pet or would like to start breeding. You can see how well you would have to have your cat trained. They have to be able to sit still in front of the judge and an audience! The cats get taken out of the cage backwards. This is also not an easy feat if the cat is not used to it. There are six rings and every breed of cat is shown. The number of points a cat receives is how they become champion or grand champion. Grooming for a show is different from regular grooming. There is a little more to it. Those cats were beautiful and their hair stood out perfectly. Even when the cat groomed it's own paw, they apparently mess up the perfectness. Don't ask me how. I did learn so much that I had thought was not relevant to me. Instead it was very educational, and my questions all got answered! What I saw and heard there has changed my perspective on a lot of things and I am very glad I went. I learned so much I can't even remember it all. I have to do some more research and add it bit by bit. If you have any questions, though, just call me and if I don't know it, I will find out.
